Epilogue, 1997
'Assembly' was my idea for representing all the children in their old school, before the school was demolished. It was a tribute to all the pupils the school had served over the years.

We held a special assembly for the present pupils where each one made a print of their hands in olive oil onto a piece of paper. The papers were folded in half and opened up as a song sheet.

Barge (right)

Hidden Energy, Leeds Water Festival, 1999
I try to find and and work with hidden elements. In 'Barge' the idea was to create the shape of a 60ft. barge by using air bubbles, looking from the top of the surface of the water in the canal. From past to present, it reflects life on the canal, where barges have sailed and still do sail. As a barge sails over the shape made on the surface of the water the shape disappears, then to reappear as the barge passes by.
